Terms of use

By using the Buget (buget.lt) app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms of use. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. What Buget is

Buget is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you see your financial situation in one place.

Important notice

  • Buget is not a bank and does not perform any financial transactions.
  • Buget does not provide financial advice. The app does not provide financial advice. Nothing we show — data, insights, or analysis — should be treated as financial advice.
  • You alone are responsible for your financial decisions.
  • The app uses Open Banking API; we receive account data through third-party providers (GoCardless / NUMBER2).
  • Analytics and spending overviews are for information only.
  • AI features provide automated insights based on your data — they are not personalised financial advice.

2. Your responsibilities

When using Buget, you accept full responsibility for:

  • Financial decisions: Any decision you make based on information in Buget is your own responsibility. We are not liable for financial consequences.
  • Accuracy of data you provide: If you enter transactions or balances manually, you are responsible for their accuracy.
  • Account security: You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Lawful use: You must not use the app for unlawful purposes, attempt to compromise the system, copy data without permission, or otherwise breach these terms.

3. Limitation of liability

Buget is provided “as is”. We are not liable for:

  • Financial losses from using the app or relying on its information
  • Incorrect insights or analysis due to wrong, incomplete, or untimely data from your bank
  • Service interruptions, technical failures, or data loss due to force majeure
  • Failures of third-party services, including the Open Banking provider (GoCardless / NUMBER2) and analytics tools ()
  • Any indirect damages from using or being unable to use the service

Our liability in any case does not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.

4. Third-party services

Buget integrates with external providers to operate:

  • Open Banking provider (GoCardless / NUMBER2): Used to obtain account data via a PSD2-regulated API. By granting bank access, you also agree to that provider’s terms.
  • Analytics tools (e.g. ): Used to collect anonymised usage data to improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.

We are not responsible for third parties’ performance, accuracy, or availability.

5. Account use and suspension

We may suspend or permanently close your account if:

  • You breach these terms
  • You use the app for unlawful purposes
  • You attempt to harm system security or another user’s privacy
  • Your account is inactive for more than 12 months
  • We must comply with legal process, a regulator, or other legal obligations

If we suspend your account, we will notify you by email unless the law prevents it. You may delete your account at any time in the app settings.

6. Changes to the service

  • App updates: We continuously improve Buget — we may change, remove, or add features without prior notice.
  • Changes to these terms: These terms may be updated at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
  • Service discontinuation: If we discontinue the service, we will notify users in advance and give you a chance to export your data.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Lithuania. Questions: hello@buget.lt
